I am having problems locating suppliers of Fire Clay in Italy. Any suggestions?

Any powdered clay will suffice because of the relatively low temperatures that we fire to, although I'd steer clear of bentonite as it has a very high shrinkage rate. There is a difference between "fire clay" as known by bricklayers in the US as clay that's added to mortar to make it more plastic. To potters "fire clay" is a clay that is able to withstand very high temperatures (around three times what you'd ever achieve in a WFO). The cheapest powdered clay I can obtain is an Australia Cement product called Bricklayers Clay at around $1/kgKindled with zeal and fired with passion.
