  • My oven needs to be portable

I'm looking to put my oven on a sturdy wood frame (with wheels). My question is, can I use the ceramic insulting boards to keep the frame from bursting into flames and ruining all my work? I noticed in the PDF that the insulation was at 100 degrees under the cooking surface. My oven needs to be portable as my back yard is not yet ready for a full blown oven structure and I don't want to wait until it is.

There is no reason why not. The devil is in the detail and designing sufficient thickness of insulation to prevent the transmission of heat, you need a structural base for the oven and a non combustible material would be preferable the framing of the supporting structure can certainly be timber
