Hello all
My name is Garrett, and I am researching what is involved in building my own wood burning oven.
I came across the plans here at Forno Bravo, and am amazed.All the detail required, and for free.
Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself.

You are at the right place. The FB plans are a great baseline but a little dated. Many innovations and improvements have been made by the blog members but they are not centralized in one spot so you have to use the "search" function to look for specific topics. Our goal is to make sure our members build a successful oven. Caveat Emptor, there are tons of "BAD" YouTube vids out there the are not in your best interest to mimic. Ask questions here and you will get straight up answers. Do make a single thread for you build and not start a new thread for every question.

Great advice from UtahBeehiver . Put in some time looking at build threads. If you have an idea what you want to build in terms of size, location (corner, etc.) and style (igloo vs dog house), find a few well documented threads that you can use as templates and fill in any blanks with questions either to the builders or general forum. I bookmarked several builds when I got started and kept those from UtahBeehiver and Gulf near the top of my list as their detail and workmanship was top notch.
