  • New Cheesehead on Site

    Hi from Escondido, CA.

Been lurking for a month or two. Finished my construction, and thought I'd fess up and thank everybody for the input.

Got up to 750 F last night. Hoping for the inaugural pizza on the holiday.

    Sixteen doughballs in the fridge....

    Have a great weekend! BANG.....OOOOHHHH......AHHHHH

      China.

The wine cave. I actually stopped about 7,900 miles short...

I found this forum by my participation on winepress.us forum.

You're gonna need wine with all that cheese!

Wow, sooooooo cool. I absolutely love the wine cave. Thanks, now I desperately want one, but there's really no way the HOA is going to let me make a mountain in my backyard. ;-) The pizza oven and built in BBQ integrate so perfectly with the rest of the landscaping. Are you a pro? In either case, great job!

No need to make a mountainin your back yard.....start digging and call it a nuclear bomb shelter.
If you are cunning, you might even be able to mound your excavated dirt over your roof and reduce the amount of excavation thus saving on removing your spoil.
Then all you need to do is fill it with wonderful South Australian world winning wines.

Isn't it a pity that I don't drink....! Otherwise, I might have another project to plan.

Great looking oven! Can't believe you built that under our nose without us knowing about it

I'd love to know more about the wine cave. Any photos? What is the temperature fluctuation? I live in Michigan, so we all have cold basements. My cellar (in the basement), is great for wine storage. 57 degrees as we speak.

That wine cave might be the coolest home project I've ever seen. Totally awesome.
