  • Chasing the Perfect Slice

    I’m Olivia Wilson from Chicago, and I’m thrilled to join this community. I’ve been obsessed with good pizza for as long as I can remember, not just eating it (though I’m very good at that!) but learning what makes a truly memorable crust and flavor.

    Over the past year, I’ve been experimenting with baking pizza and bread in my regular kitchen oven. While the results have been tasty enough to impress my friends, I know there’s a whole other level of flavor and fun in wood-fired cooking. That’s what brought me here — to get inspired by your builds, your tips, and maybe your hard-earned lessons too.

    I’m not much of a builder yet (unless you count assembling IKEA furniture…), but I’m determined to change that. My dream is to someday host friends and family around my own backyard oven, serving pizzas right off the stone and seeing everyone smile.

    Looking forward to learning from all of you, and I’m always happy to hear what you wish you’d known before your first build!​

    I suggest you download the free eplans from Forno Bravo and study them carefully, dated but a good baseline. Also go to the Newbies section on Treasure Achives where you will find links to some of the more documented builds.
