  • Building a Wood Fire stove in Mexico

Hola, we have moved to Merida Mexico to open up our first Wood Fire Mediterranen Bistro and are going to need some helpful info on buildng our stove. We already have the Forno bravo plans and we want to build it inside of a large old cement water sistern, I have posted a photo of it. We would love to hear if any one has done this before. It already has a solid cement base of about 1 foot thick. The diameter of the sistern is about 7 feet and 9 feet tall. We want to use the sistern as the outer facade and build a 42 inch stove inside it.Any helpful hints, tips or suggestions mucho gracias!Click image for larger version

One suggestion, if you haven't done it already... line it with firebrick; concrete will crack and explode sometimes when it is heated because of air pockets. Hope I helped.
