    Re: Hello from SoCal

Welcome to the Forum Chris. Ya, I was the same way last year, found them and then a year later I'm having my 1st fires in the oven this week. There is so much info here, it's really alot of fun. Good luck, ask questions and enjoy the process (and eventually pizza, bread, roasts......) , Dino

      Hey Chris,
You will be very glad you found this site. The help is endless. I got the majority of my materials at Supply Line in San Juan Cap., so you have a very close supplier. We'll lok forward to following your build.

Thanks Dino and Excel! Also for the tip on Supply Line in SJC. I'll keep everyone in the loop on the progress.

              Re: Hello from SoCal

Again, Thanks All for the support and kind words

Standard sized Medium duty Firebrick at Supply Line $0.95 each and in stock.
and now I'm the new owner of a $229 Harbor Freight 10" saw. I splurged forr the stand and a 1yr extended warantee.

The foundation was set a couple of months ago, so the legs and hearth are next on the to do list.

I'm not really clear where the active, in progress, builds should be. Since it's going to be a 43" Pompeii, should I open a new thread there?

              Thanks all!

              Chris
