moving on to firebrick

can find one grade only of firebrick only. should I search for anything different?

What grade of brick can you get?

"Good enough" is usually good enough, and a low or medium duty fire brick is just what you want. Some folks will say the high duty fire brick doesn't hold heat as long as the low and medium duty brick, but other folks say the high duty brick work just fine.

I used a low duty brick in my oven and am satisfied with the results. This is the material that was available at my local masonry supply store and commonly used in fireplaces.
