Yes.
Great for cutting bricks in half. Gets tricky if you want to taper bricks. It is possible but time consuming.

which has many many tapers to most bricks. Next time I will use a 12" or even 14" saw. -

I built my oven with a 10 as well. Most of us, who built a brick oven, 95%, used a 10" saw. Others had the luxury of a 14", some others used 3" grinders and some even used only a chisel and hammer. HB you'll do fine with a 10 and unless you can find a real bargan on a 14 inch and the 10 isn't a huge bite out of your budget.
