Brick Question

Can I use this brick for any part of the oven I am constructing? Particularly in the hearth or the dome.

Nowhere with heat, but anywhere else is fine.

It is fire brick that I received from a landscaper. He told me that he used this type for fireplaces. My main concern is with the holes.

I'm using them for my oven stand, will do a double brick in places to support the 2nd slab, from there oven slab, oven floor insulating layer and then oven floor will go on top of that

basically a house brick is it?

You need something that looks like this for the dome and cooking floor. Just make sure they are clay and not concrete.

There is a difference between a "fired brick" and a "fire brick".
