  • First build price

    Hey everybody,
i'm new in this brick pizza oven world, and i'm in my way of building one.

I wish to build a Pompeii oven, not sure about the size (36"-42"), and i'm looking for information about the size of the budget needed for this kind of project.
Assuming i have all the needed tools and I wish to build a simple looking, but yet as professional as I can quality oven, what kind of number should i expect.

Thanks to you all and a sorry note about my English,
    Guy

    Re: First build price

It all depends on materials. I have spent about $1,000 and still need FB insulation blanket and exterior shell materials. Started with a $300/2 yard concrete pour for the foundation. I had a complex pour so it was expensive. About $100 for wood forms and rebar. Two hundred and fifty dollars for fire bricks. I am using home brew mortar so Sand, Lime, Clay, Portland cement added $75. Clay flue another $45. Grinder disks, material for IT tool, gloves, wet/dry saw blade, and misc stuff about $250.
