hi guys,
im new to the forum but im being reading a lot lately looking for tips and learning different methods to build ovens..
i already started building my oven and need some advice for the insulation of the floor..
my first idea was to just use a layer of glass and rock sea salt and on top of it another layer of refractory mortar..
then on top of it would place the alumina bricks...
although now i bought the ceramic fiber blankets to insulate the dome and since i have spare i was wondering if i should also add one layer of ceramic fiber on top of the rock sea salt... to add extra insulation...
so basically my question is if i should just go with
glass/rock sea salt/refractory mortar/alumina bricks
or
glass/rock sea salt/ ceramic/refractory mortar/alumina bricks.
what would you recommend?
thanks in advance for your help.
