Oven will hopefully get a not too shitty looking river rock front, and probably a river rock veneer stone behind the fireplace on the hardi board...

Need about 100 more 1x2's for trim boards... stain, some more triangulation for bracing to stiffen the walls up (they are 8'2" tall), chimney for the fireplace, more chimney for the oven, insulation for the oven, roof for the oven, etc...

Its coming, but still a lot to do.

So I guess I could update this... it has been forever.... if anyone gives a shit...

I didn't like the way it was turning out, so I tore everything out except the oven and started over.... with a beer garden...

Much better now.

Still not done, but getting closer...

Oven works great. It still isn't finished... needs frame built, and then sheeted and insulated to hold heat, but for pizza it works fantastic!

This definitely makes for an interesting build. Let us know how your thanksgiving pizza turns out... turkey cranberry stuffing and gravy pizza... it could work right?

I didnt think about the popping, the wood we have here on the main doesnt do it.

Any wood works for heating the oven.

I know ... I have about 6 cord of fir in the wood shed, but hoping to use a different wood with less popping and sparks for the oven

I have a HUGE white birch in my front yard that will be cut down as soon as the snow is gone and will be my oven wood for 2-3 years after it is nice and cured

Also have to build me a homemade pizza peel between now and then. Have an old aluminum road sign, a grinder, wire wheel, and some conduit... so I think it will work

Hoping to pick up a load of apple wood tomorrow, and plan for a Thanksgiving pizza feast for the ovens first use! I hope it works, otherwise we are relegated to cooking in the oven in the house

I work with metal / welding or building cars WAY better than I do wood or masonry
