  • Insulation for base HELP

    Right... we have made a concrete base in the ground.about 5-6inches deep, could someone give me a blow by blow account of whats next, we want to use a hollow type breezeblock base, then what?..is it cement, then how does it get the best insulation?
    tell me step by step.please...Thank you

    Shvuntz; go to the Forno Bravo Store. There you'll find the plans for building a WFO. The download is free and the information is invaluable. And any other questions i'm sure will be happily answered by others who have already or are currently building.This is a great site.

      Wow. They still make breeze blocks in the uk? That's long gone in the states. For those too young to remember:



      My image search showed that "Breeze block" is UK for "Concrete block" in the US. Two nations divided by a common tongue. My mistake.

        I have downloaded the forno bravo info as suggested..it's really good, and I have printed it out, and put it in a ring binder..lots of pages of good info.
        Its our new bible, we are off out to buy 'breeze blocks' or maybe those hollow ones you can fill with cement..
