  • Hello! Im about to start building my bread oven, and have some questions

    Im planing on making a simple, relatively small, semi-barrel design, that will be gas (burner) powered- must i have a chimney? Is this design good for this kind of oven? Ive seen these designs online but no sure about them since most of the ovens are dome shaped.
    secondly, I plan on casting the semi-barrel arc from heat-proof cement, and covering it with a ceramic blanket to insolate. Do you have any tips on the best too cast? Will this method be good enough for baking breads and pizzas?
    Where would you recommend planting a thermometer? Do you think i must have a door?
