Alternative to Fire Bricks

Hi guys. Planning to make my own oven but turns out there are no fire bricks being sold in myarea. What's a good alternative to fire bricks?

Go the Other Oven Types and review cast ovens. DO NOT go with p or vcrete domes and a gym ball that seems to be the rage on YouTube. It is not a great long term and effecient oven design.. There are several and current cast ovens going on right now. Any threads by David S are good to follow, he is out cast expert.

I'm building at the moment and looking at my budget and what it will support! I've got hold of a stack of clay building bricks. This is my back up if the price of fire bricks is horrific. I'm going to look at this 'cast' idea as well.
