elbow height or higher?

I know there are posts with people discussing what they would of done differently, but i can't find it and want to be more specific.
I've just cut my base bricks so can adjust the cooking height if needed.
My cooking height will be about 43" from floor, which is the same height as my elbow.

Did you Build yours elbow height and would you like it higher?

Mine is elbow height with my arms in the position of holding a peel when tending to a pizza. I find it perfect. 48.5 inches and I'm six feet tall.

Anywhere from elbow to armpit works for most. I personally prefer armpit height.

I think I will turn the thermolite blocks on their edge, this will give 9" of insulation and raise it another 5".
I'll lay them out today to see what it feels like.
