    Re: metal frame with wheels

I've got one that I roll on and off my trailer.(p.2 i think, on finished oven pics) It has 4 wheels, but I want to add another two to spread out the load. My trailer is the back of a ute and the floor is not all that strong. My oven weighs 160Kgs and the bouncing creates too much weight on the four points of contact. 6 wheels should do it. Still have not put shocks on the trailer.

If you poke around the photos and some old threads, you'll see a number of portable ovens and some discussion on the best way to design them.

Here's the photo David mentioned of his oven:

6 wheels on your pizza trailer? I bet that is going to turn a bit hard...

No it doesn't turn. Just rolls on and off. It works really well. I was worried about handling the weight, but I can handle it on my own quite easily. In fact it works better with fixed wheels, I think I would have trouble if I'd used turning wheels. I adjust the height and slope with the trailers jockey wheel.

                Oh - I'm being dense.

The oven dolly will have 6 wheels, not the UTE trailer. I get it now.

Duh... I feel a bit silly.
