    Re: temporary Oven ?

    Hi James,

A temporary dome won't be any problem! You can build your dome using a mortar that lacks cement. You need to be sure it remains dry during and after the build (keep it covered).

Frances built her (permanent) dome with cement-less mortar, here's a thread discussing the stuff: http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f8/h...clay-2783.html

Good luck and let us know how your build progresses!

Further you could look into clay, cob, or earth ovens. While they are not temporary they would be easier to remove or destroy with the associated costs of brick and mortar ovens.

Further it would allow you to reconnect with the sculptor inside of you.

      Good Luck.
