What a journey, so many new skills learnt..and thats just in the building, so much more to learn in the cooking ( can't wait ) .. thanks again all for the answers to the questions I had.
This was something I had been thinking of for a few years now , just didn't know enough to get my oven happening. so happy I fell on to this site in my research quest

Good to see another well made oven completed and by a fellow Aussie.
    Well done!
Now come s the fun bit of cooking and getting it all right.
You think that you learned a lot in the construction, but you now have a higher learning curve, the pizza base recipes, raising it, the breads, rolls and buns, the sweets and baking, it all starts now, enjoy!!

Now you have to cure the beast! I cured my oven over one weekend and cooked pizzas on the second day. The trick is to keep the heat low to start and build it very slowly. Remember that a flame no matter how small will be at a temp of 750C. You need to avoid any flame touching your dome before the dome has reached 650C that way you will have a greater chance of avoiding cracks. You need to drive the moisture out slowly while at the same time slowly increasing your dome temp. It worked for me but it is up to you which way you go, there will be a lot of different ideas on curing your oven. Take a look at the thread and decide for yourself.

Looks great, the only thing you forgot is the treadmill to run off all the weight you'll gain form eating too much.....

        Congratulations on finishing
