I am in need of some help of what to use for my oven insulation. I am considering using perlite concrete mix but it is very hard to find in hardware stores.
I found bags of expanded perlite from my horticulture store that is used for gardening and landscaping purpose but I am not sure if this is the right material. Is there anyone who knows if this is good to mix with cement and how to use it (ratio) as an insulation for the oven?
Are there any other options which I can consider? I was thinking of using sand for oven insulation but someone told me it would become heavy for the oven?
