Fine load of wood. Looks like the barks slipping already so you've got a head start on drying. I know ya'all have different species and names but, that looks like a load of red oak. Maybe post oak. That's what I would have guessed if the door on the pickup was open on the other side anyways .
I'll be glad when it is wood cutting weather here .

The shorter the lengthsl you cut the easier they are to split. If the stuff is pretty big I like to cut it into 6" slices, leave it to season for a year then it's a piece of cake to split. Nothing worse than having a log that you can't split.

Its mainly Yellow box with some Redgum, the Yellow box (Eucalyptus melliodora) is dense and heavy weighing about 1100 kg/m3.
If you try to split it with a hand held wood splitter it just spits the splitter out and you can hardly see the wound you have made.

Pic to follow of one Ive been making for the last month or so, Im so glad I got back into hydraulics again.
It should push 30 ton or more at the piston.
Im waiting on some hose ends then its all go.

I cut it all into foot wood, that way we can use it in the lounge heater too.
