Unattended Non-Wood Pre-Heat Options

I'm look for ways to pre-heat a WFO without wood.

The goal is to take it to 400-500F (hearth) either the day(s) before or a few hours before the event.

I'm familiar with the use of weed burners, but, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable turning a weed burner on and going to do something else/leaving the house. I'd like something that wouldn't need to be attended.

Any electric options come to mind?

FB has a gas conversion for WFO ...a proper and safe one with safety flame out cutoff s etc. The forum never encourages home made conversions for the obvious safety concerns.
Another possible fuel is mineral coal. There was quite a discussion on it a few years ago just type it in the search.
