    Re: Tree Roots for firewood

That looks like a great tool, basically a chainsaw on a grinder right. That will help cutting wood yes. Does it work well?
I didn't buy the tool yet, but yes, it appears to be just that: a chainsaw on a grinder!

That would make a. Nasty mark if it caught and kicked. I would not feel safe with something like that on the end of a grinder without wearing an iron suit.

Neill thanks for the info, i had forgotten that a WFO hot is not the same as a smoker hot, lol, smoking with green wood is doable, but i guess its a good thing that green wood burns well in a hot fire/WFO.

Ive had one for years, its the same as a chainsaw in that the chain is in a groove, if it digs in the chain stops and the disc just spins.
If you can use a chain saw you can use one of those.

It's funny how the name on the tool is Lancelot

.......it will Lance a lot of your fingers off if you are not on the ball.

Not to say my Old skool McCulloch chainsaw is much better.

I saw some interesting YouTube stuff where you US fellas have what looks like a chainsaw style contraption for cutting concrete....... Cool
              Cheers

Reporting back with results. I used some of the roots as it pretty much dried under the sun. The splits would catch fire once thrown into the oven.
