I am getting ready to build my chimney and was wondering does it matter if the vent opening is centered with the 8" diameter of the flue?
My vent opening is 6" x 13.5" transitioning up to 6" x 9.5" where I will set the anchor plate. If I were to center the anchor plate it would set out beyond the front arch of the vent, so i was considering shifting it toward the dome.
