Agricultural suppliers and police auctions. You might get it cheap at auction

Try Elders, they stock vermiculite, not sure about perlite.

Will check masonry suppliers Tscarborough, I called a few general construction suppliers and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Try some of the independant plant nurseries. They use it as an additive for potting soil and usually have the best deal. I bought several bags over the course of last year. The first few (4 cubic feet) bags I purchased were in the 18 dollar range. The last, I think, was nearing 25 bucks. It is my understanding that there have been a few mine closures, so the price of this stuff may be getting out of hand.

Guys, any leads on where to find this stuff in big bags in SoFla?
Having little luck, only found it at the hydroponic stores charging around $50 per bag.
