Hi all,
I hope someone can advise?
I am excavating the area where I will be building my WFO, and am having to shift a top layer of gravel/stones first.
There is a lot to shift and I have no way of easy disposal.
Q. The Pompeii Oven book requires 3" of 'pea gravel' or 'crushed rock' for the slab bed - can I use these existing gravel/stones I have as it would seem a terrible waste to dispose of a load of gravel only to go and purchase more.
I have added some pictures to show the size of the stones - non-uniform in size.
Also, there will be a small amount of soil and dirt mixed in with this - if I am able to use it, will rinsing it over with a hose once laid be sufficient?
Thank you in advance.
