Yeah, that and I moved over to the finishing thread a while ago.

So feel free to use this thread for whatever. Children is a cool topic, I'm not so keen on fishing though...

    OK. All your fault Robert!

I think Frances is waiting for better weather to start working on the oven again.

Thanks Dick! It was good timing - just luck. My daughter was only 5 - 6 months old for most of the building process. She slept a lot, which gave me plenty of time to go out and get dirty. At nearly 10 months, I only have a couple hours free each day. A nap in the AM, and one in the PM. Well obviously, you understand completely.

Hey Frances - did we run away with your thread? Sorry!

    George,

    Congrats!!!

I have a 6, 4 and 1 year old - all boys who just happen to love pizza.

Glad you were able to take some time off building the oven

    Dick

    Sarah,
Gonna be a dad again. Mid-September. Building will come to a complete halt.

Had my first grandson a year ago from my oldest son (27) and his wife. The problem is, in my mind, he was three and riding on my shoulders just a couple years ago. It all goes soooo fast.

I'm safe! 9 months and (-) 6 months. I hope to have alzheimer's before those questions come up.

With mine at 16 & 18, I keep hammering it home that I do NOT want to end up a grandma any time soon!!

Hehe, mine are only 9, 4 and 4...

But when my little boy says he doesn't want to be a knight after all and asks me what he should be when he grows up, I do tell him he should find a nice girl to marry and become a Daddy and in in time a grandpa, too.

But you're right, I'd prefer it if they wait for 20 odd years before starting a family...

Frances, my oldest is turning 6, not the subject for her yet. Give it 20 years....

Oh man, I am tearing with laughter. So true. But based on the level, I am a grandfather, and I don't want to feel the age yet.
