I have read that mortar cracks are inevitable. I have begun my curing fires and have a crack and the top of my vent arch and one in the vent and one in the oven entry arch.
The worst one is the one on the outer vent arch and is about 1/16" when the oven is warm.
The mortar joint separated completely from one brick.
Should this be ground out and repacked with mortar?
