Dear all,
I would very much like to mount a series of small, non-handheld pyrometers on the wall of my oven to be able to tell the temperature of the hearth and dome at a glance. I have two questions that I hope to find answers to:
1. Do you all recommend 2 or 4 thermocouples for the oven? I am thinking that at the very least I will install 2 embedded close to the brick surface - 1 in the hearth and 1 in the dome, but possible 2 more at the brick/cladding interface, or halfway through the cladding. Any thoughts on this?
2. Does anyone have suggestions for fairly cheap pyrometers that are not hand-held? Battery-powered is fine, but AC is fine too ...
Thanks in advance!!
Mike
