  • My flax seeds sprouted

    I took everyone's advice (sort of), and tried soaking my flax seeds overnight before making my whole grain bread. Then I caught a bug and was out of it for a day or two. When I came back to it, my flax seeds had sprouted.

    I wonder if I can do anything with it.

    The good news is that the seeds must be pretty fresh; my source is Whole Foods.

    I'm back on my feet and baking again today.

    Sprouts are full of micro nutrients...I say put em in anyway...

        Sprouted seeds? In California? You're hip man...put them in a salad!

        (BTW....I don't soak flax seeds, just hit them with a grinder to break the seed before I eat them)

              Sailboat sails. DD2 (dear daughter 2) is on tall mast sailboat in San Francisco Bay this weekend for a school field trip -- called Age of Sail. Weren't sailboat sails linen?

              Sadly, I also grew mold, so I'm going to have to try again.

                Ack!!! I am into fungi but not simple molds. While mold is technically a fungus what I deem edible fungi are...far tastier. Sprouted grain is a find Healthy Bread additive. Keep trying!
