Well, I am getting closer. I have been absent from these boards for about 5 months now because it was looking like I'd never get the chance to build this oven.
But now the move to Beijing is just over a week away. The house although just a shell is starting to shape up. And my brick oven plans have gone from an out door project to an indoor one.
In the meantime my old pizza stone is going to get a workout as I think about what I will do when I have my real oven and what kind of pizzas to make.
Originally from New York, I remember many days walking into the corner pizzeria and getting one regular slice of pepperoni and one Sicilian. And while I have seen and tried many good recipes for "NY Style" Neopolitan Pizzas, lately I'm feeling like a nice thick Sicilian pie.
How about it, anyone with a good recipe for "NY Style Sicilian" Pizza? And before anyone yells at me, yes I did a search, but found not what I was looking for in any previous posts.
So? I'm hungry...
