It's not mine, just a picture I stole after Googling "solar ovens".

There are a lot of plans out there for some interesting solar contraptions. If you build one, let us know how it goes!

    Hey Neill and George:

You're both wasting precious resources. Check this out...

Now that's how to reheat a frozen pizza.

    Re: freezing pizza

This is my ONLY freezing experience. Bought three half baked pies from Sally's in New Haven and froze them in freezer bags as soon as I got home. The next morning (this was before 9/11) brought them on a plane to Florida. Flight Attendant kept them 'on ice' for me during the flight. When I reached my parents they went into an oven at 350 until 'finished'.

Results were 'OK' but far from what I had hoped for. Since then, I've never tried to do it.

Sorry to ruin your planet Neill. In the future, I'll eat my soggy crust with the satisfaction that the Earth will sustain humans for an additional 100 years because I used my microwave vs. my oven.

    Yeh, whatever,
to heat an oven (probably an hour all up with 2000W) and wait the time adds a great deal to the greenhouse effect than a much quicker shuffling of the moisture molecules in a microwave (5 minutes @ 650W)!
The only advantage that a convectional oven has is that it will crisp up the crust that a microwave won't.
But then again, to each his own!!

I would recommend never heating any bread product in a microwave. Yuk! It sounds feasible that you could freeze leftovers. I'd try warming them in the oven under aluminum foil at 300 degrees F, once it has thawed to room temp. Just a guess.

I have a couple of frozen home made wfo pizzas that I will be having in a couple of days. They were frozen 3 weeks ago and will respond once I consume them for you. After all, you can't waste the dough bases nor the toppings can you?
They were put into plastic bags, similar to freezer bags when cold and placed into an upright freezer at -19˚C.
We have done others similarly BUT you must be carefull when using a microwave to reheat them DO NOT use high power or it will turn into shoe leather. I use medium and take a little longer to heat them OR warm the oven and put in the thawed pizza to heat. It will dry out a little but try both methods.
