Yes the tipo 00 flour is in Brisbane Coles as well thanks heaps for the info
Tried it Fri night makes a real good pizza.
My recipie is simple 600 gm flour 375 ml water dry yeast into the (little used till now) bread maker on dough cycle hour half later enough for 4 -5 pizza.
perfect timing cause the ovens up to temp by then. any left over dough ball in the freezer in a plastic bag. the yeast survives this and comes back to life when defrosted over the day.

      regards Dave

Just trying this flour our making ciabatta with the following recipe:

          500g bread flour
          475g water
          2 tsp. yeast
          15g salt

Fire started but will only be able to report back on findings a bit later today.

Doing some sausage plus some veg to go with it...

For pizza bases I also use the Allied Mills Pizza flour, but have also been impressed with the Lighthouse brand pizza flour also available at Australian supermarkets.
For Australian readers, what do you call Woolworths if it burnt down?

The Superb Baker's flour is the clear winner - particularly when you consider that the cost is about 1/3 of the speciality ones.

Nice to try the Italian stuff though once in a while - and I intend to get to Caputo too when the price isn't so outrageous here in Oz.

I just posted this on another thread. I am a Canadian currently visiting Australia. I saw Molini Pizzuti Fine Italian "00" flour on the shelves at Woolies the other day. I have used it in Canada with good results... Sold in 1 kg bag's though

Yes the Mollino oo flour is good, also available in Australian supermarkets is Lighthouse Pizza and Bread flour which is even better.

The Molino flour has a low protein content and I have not found it suitable for pizza making. Lighthouse is OK but for a local product it's overpriced. Still the firm favourite is Superb Baker's Flour at $1 per kg. The Colavita has a high protein content and if you want a good (but pricey) Italian 00 then treat yourself to that...

Yay! This has finally made its way to my Coles....

Just knocked up a batch of dough and it is silky smoothy! I'll let you know what I think of it tomorrow night. I've been using the lighthouse stuff for all my pizza dough before, so hopefully I can compare the 2.

                                Hi Guys,
Just finshed using this flour for the first time last night....and I must say it made the best bases I have cooked! Even my wife who is hard to please with pizzas said it was the best she has had. Cheers Rossco for putting us onto it...will be using this flour from now on
