  • Mudgee build

Hi guys, new build using one of Ben's kits from Melbourne firebrick company.

plan on having the opening flush with the base, will form up the top slab section once the oven is built.

    Plan to render it tomorrow

    G'day
    Welcome
Like that stand. Like the shape it will give you some space on the sides which is a good thing
Also like the idea of the hearth and slab height being the same, that should look good.
    Keep the pics coming

      Nice promising build
Why is this thus? What is the reason for this thusness?
      I forgot who said that.

Hey Bowser - Looks like you are off to a great start. My only question is do you have access to under the slab to use all of that space? Look forward to following your build.
        Cheers ......... Steve

thanks guys, no access under the slab, plan on extending it either side for BBQ and outdoor kitchen so won't really be able too.

1st coat of render also went on the weekend, still has the formwork under to opening which is now removed.

Rear and/or side access would have allowed that but guess it is too late for that.
