  • Anyone in Central France - Chateauroux area

I'll be based out of this area for most of June.
I may need to build a rustic oven so I don't go into withdrawals. Any tips on local restaurants and recommendations on Boulangeries and the basic build materials would be appreciated.

    Thanks

So how was your trip then, Chris?

As we know, real pizza is a big thing in France, with many properties having a WFO of some sort. You probably didn't have to travel far to a decent pizzeria, either.

So can we have some details please?!

Dick, Sorry to disappoint regarding the pizza in France, but I didn't get any.. I was hoping to spend a couple of days with a baker that uses Bio flour and a WFO, this didn't happen.. Family/friend affairs trumped everything.. I was able to take a few days and get over to the Burgundy area and down to Carcassonne and Sarlat.. Great food and breads but No Pizza.. I really need a WFO at the family home in France..

Well I'm sorry about that - and surprised; maybe you were just very unlucky. Some of the best pizza I've ever had has been in France!

You are very fortunate to have a family home there.

It won't be hard to get a WFO locally.
