Re: Seattle area templates & leftovers for free
Terri - Great to hear that will help.
One other tip I did not mention (and might be apparent). Mount the indispensable tool onto your un-cut square plywood base. Then you can use it to draw the circle for the base of the oven on the plywood and cut the plywood into a circle. That way you ensure your tool is mounted in the middle of the plywood base and will have a perfectly round oven and dome.

Re: Seattle area templates & leftovers for free
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! That thread really help! My oven is 48" and the dome "should be" 24" all the way around. This type of tool should work great for us.

Re: Seattle area templates & leftovers for free
Hi Terri - I have a few folks that have put in requests for each part so far. Will let you know if it does not work out and they are available.
The tool itself was pretty easy to build. I posted some details here http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/28/m...html#post72421. I made it in a hour one afternoon from a few hardware pieces I picked up at Lowes for < $5.
BTW - Leavenworth is a great place - love it up there.
Good luck with the project!

A few folks have expressed interest in these so I think they are spoken for.

Seattle area templates & leftovers for free
I'm hoping someone in the Seattle area (or greater western Washington) might be starting a 36" Pompeii oven build and interested in my templates, indispensable tool, and leftover bricks.
I have:
* ~20 whole firebricks
* 3/4" plywood base template with attached indispensable tool
* inner and outer arch templates - 19" width inner arch and 23" width outer arch I believe
* I'm also happy to give away the 2x4's I used to wrap the perlite/cement base
They are welcome to anyone who can come to Seattle and pick them up.
Examples of some of the items can be seen in the pics below.
