  • NorCal here!

    Thanks James - great idea.

Had the pleasure of meeting with Tom from Penn Valley this afternoon. I swapped a piece of stove pipe for some of his 40 year old sourdough starter.

I'm looking forward to this section of the forum making those deals more common.

    Dusty,

Are you going to James' open house in a couple of weeks?

I'll be there. :-) I am hoping we will have a good NorCal contingent; and some pretty good weather.

FB Expo has 100+ registered attendees and climbing.

Hey Dusty, thanks for the pipe. I got home and my wife had a fire started in the oven. She is great! I didn't think I would start one as I got home too late. Well the north wind was blowing and it was just smoking like crazy. I set the pipe on top of the vent and it drew the smoke and the fire took off. Works great! Now to attach permanently.
Oh we will be at the expo.
James, I need to purchase some blanket for the oven. Hope you have some in stock so we can purchase while at the expo.

                Excelent!

I don't fully understand the dynamics, but I suppose it doesn't matter as long as it works. Mine behaved just like yours in the wind, but hasn't smoked a puff since the chimney was installed.

                Glad to have helped.

I just noticed this regional section, I will have to check back here... not much activity though. I is a great idea to get together and share ideas etc.
