have people used wood ships in their WFO? Not just for smoking but just to add additional flavor when baking chicken, etc.

Also, if you do use them do you soak them first and keep them separate or do you throw them dry into the fire?

Man you must have one hell of a big oven if you can use wood ships for smoking.......

I don't but give it a try. soak them or don't, I would spread them out on the floor not throw them in the coals. They will last longer. Also depends if you do it with the door on or off.
