Re: Who has one of these?
Actually, the whole thing is a solid piece of wire. There are three overlapping rings but they are not flexible.

here's a link, for non-commercial purposes
Sur La Table? Danish Dough Whisk | Sur La Table
reviews make it sound like this is not the one to buy. I got mine at a bread baking site - (Breadtopia - same place I ordered my proofing trays) and it is very sturdyLast edited by deejayoh; 08-16-2014, 11:34 AM.

Re: Who has one of these?
FG pizza, King Arthur, Breadtopia via Amazon, and many others sell these whisks (just do a browser search for Danish Dough Whisk). I use the no-knead method for all my breads (so hands-only mixing for me), but another baker I know loves it for mixing up her dough and uses both sizes. She's actually replaced the handle on the larger whisk with a longer one and uses the tool for stirring mashes in her home brewing...and she brews a lot of very fine beer and bakes a great loaf of bread!Mike Stansbury - The Traveling Loafer

Hey Dennis,
How you doing? You are always coming up with some gadget, so to keep up with Dennis, I ended up buying some string lights like you and just ordered a Danish dough hook too. Have not been able to bite the bullet on dough trays yet. Say hello to Becky.Russell

Re: Who has one of these?
V12 - sounds good. Just make sure the wire is solid in the handle, otherwise it is pretty simple.
Lee - But it's Danish! . Not sure what else to suggest!
Russell - Thx. Glad to hear the light suggestion worked out. We are loving ours! First outdoor movie night of the season was last weekend. Princess Bride & Pizza. You'll love the dough hook too.

I know this post has been dormant for over a year, but I'm catching up on my reading. I picked up one of these dough hooks using some Red Star yeast packages I had been saving up for years. They charge 3.95 for shipping, and you can get a small for 15 "stars" and a large one for 20.
I got a small one and use it for mixing up my sourdough starter. Works way better than a spoon - mixes fast and easy on the hands. My build thread
