First round looked great...good luck with the second.

Yeah, cooking in the rain is not as much fun but it can be done. I've got a pic doing paella with my Dad in the rain by a lake in Sioux Narrows. Rigged up a plywood cover and sat in lawn chairs by the flames.

Definately need some spirits though It works much better that way.

I've got my hopes up for you Dusy. You can always cook in the rain and eat inside. I'm with you in spirit. If all else fails, beer!

OK.... spent today making 22 pizza dough balls and, of cource, 8 pita balls. Looking like bad, stormy weather here in Sac. but we're going to try to slip the WPP in before the predicted big, wind powered storm hits. It's gunna be close.
    Acoma?

    Dusty,
I've come to the opinion, as others have suggested, that every oven is a bit different. The important thing is to learn how your oven behaves and work within those peramiters.
So far, yours sounds like it performs like mine did shortly after curing. A few more firings and a little more insulation may make a big difference.

I just went out to check. It's still warm in there, but not hot. I still have no door and only one layer of blanket on top. I ordered another roll yesterday and it was on the porch today. When I get that on there, I'm sure it will be better.

Thanks Dave! Wouldn't have been the same without ya. I want to thank you again for the videos. I know I kinda "make light" and joke around sometimes, but the time and effort it took to produce those videos was truely appriciated by me and my family. I even got a tupperware cake thing like yours for valenentines day. And I'm working on that dough-throw!

Congratulations!!! Cool, looks really good and sounds like you had fun!

Of course, once you get the hang of 4" round pizzas, you could start on 4" in diameter... as long as they're not 4" thick you should be fine

Didn't get it at first RC ... but it finally sunk in. "Dusty Pizza 4" round". How quickly I forget. That's a good one.

As far as the 23rd, I will certainly try. I will try to let you know before this weekend so you can plan.
    Scott,
It's all ready planned. I'm going to make lots of dough balls...LOTS! Love to have you guys. After tonight, I realize that your expertice would be helpful. You would be an honored guest but.... well....maybe bring your oven mitt.

First pizza night rewiew...TREMENDOUS and HILARIOUS!!! We had a few successful pizzas, and a few "not so much", but from start to end, we had a blast. EXcelent, high-quality family laughin' and jokin' from the time we started tossing the dough ( which was right after the whole family watched Dave's videos) 'till we compared blackness of crust. I could blabber on but, bottom line, tonight alone might have been worth the effort.- It was that fun.
Took some pics- some good, some "not so much".
