Re: Le Creuset cooking - heat
I use my Le Creuset pots in the WFO all the time, and I only use them at lower temps (below 500F). Mostly I use them the next day when the oven is around 350 or so...
The only concern about the handles would be if you are using them in a hot oven, but I don't know why you would have the lid on in a 650-700 degree oven.
I love them!

Le Creuset cooking - heat
I have done a bit of a search about using le creuset posts and pans, but I still thought I would start a new thread.
If you are wanting to use a Le Creuset pot (or similar) in the wfo, are you not, by default, going to be using lower temperatures?
If so, why should there be a concern about the handles melting or cracking or whatever?
I take it that Le Creuset are a cast iron product, and as such are ideal pots for the wfo?
I'm looking forward to cooking a big stew, slow-style, in a cast iron pot in the wfo.!! I just want to cook it in the best pot available.
