  • Got some rubs for pork & beef - but don't know which is best?

Our friends in Texas send us some rubs over and I was thinking off putting either pork or beef in the WFO when Christmas dinner is done.

    The rubs are:

    Grill Mates Cowboy Rub
    Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning

With being English, I have no idea what would be best, any suggestions??
Where can I find logs? I need more!
Finishing the WFO will come after the barn is completed http://flinthousebarn.co.uk/

The creole is good on steaks, but I wouldn't use it for a large roast. Also it's great on fish and whole roast chickens. It's going to be fairly salty and spicy.

The cowboy rub will be good on either beef or pork but probably better on beef. I think the coffee in the cowboy rub would be a little strong on pork chops or loins, but okay for a smoked shoulder or rib roast.
