  • Canadian Thanksgiving Turkey

I have finally cooked a WFO turkey!
This is the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend - glorious weather, almost like summer again - so today I cooked an 18 pound bird in the oven and, WOW, I've gotta say what others who have gone before me have said ... best bird ever!!
We usually brine our turkeys but time got away from us this year and it didn't happen - didn't matter though, it was still really juicy, not one bit dry.
    I LOVE my oven !!!

    Hi Sarah,

    What a good lookin' bird!

How long did you leave the turkey in the oven, and what temp did you start at?

With enough pictures like yours, I'll be inspired to try a turkey myself..

Now that's a turkey! You can see how juicy it is in on the plate!

I'm hoping for a wild turkey this year- DH got one last year and it was the best I've ever had, and I don't even like dark meat much.

Did you cook the extra stuffing in the WFO too?
