  • Carne Asada & Focaccia!

I grilled some skirt steak on the Weber and baked some focaccia in the wfo. Yes, I know, strange combination of food.....but with plenty of beer and wine going around, it didn't matter on this Labor Day....lol...

I strongly urge you to get a Tuscan grill for the WFO. You may never want to use the others again except for slow smoking! Grilling at 1000 degrees F plus is addictive!

Yes, I plan on getting the Tuscan grill. I've propped a small cast iron grate over a couple of firebricks and done a couple of steaks and they came out great. But the bricks took too much space on the floor and got in the way of raking and spreading the coals. Meanwhile, I've been using a folding campfire grill (expanded metal grate) and that seems to work ok.....except for the killer grill marks.

That focaccia looks awesome. Some good eats you got there.

Clearly, the rest of us missed a great time and an uncommonly good meal
