We had pizza on Saturday night and then baked a loaf of Rustic Sourdough bread on Sunday morning. This is a recipe from King Arthur Flour and quite tasty. Cooked in a terra cotta covered dish for about 30 minutes, was quite happy with how it turned out.
We've cooked this in the oven inside and always had to remove the lid for five minutes or more to get the top to brown. In the outside oven, we left the cover on the entire cook time and I think this held in the steam a bit longer and the bread was just a bit more moist. Thermometer on the door said we were at about 450 degrees so hotter further in to the oven.
Decided to try a couple slices with smoked cheese toasted in the oven for breakfast. I liked it.
