    We foraged about 7 pounds of them in little over 3 hours on Saturday morning! They grow in last year's burn areas.

    Wow, do you dry them for future use? Have not made it to Seattle lately other than connecting at SeaTac. Will be sure to get with ya when were up there.

      Yes, I am in the middle of drying them now. I put a little space heater in our kitchen oven and then turned on the convection blower. Keeps the temp a pretty constant 110F, which seems perfect for drying them.

      I think seven pounds fresh is going to be about 8 ounces of dried. It's crazy how much they shrink.

      Would love to see you guys if you're in town.
