Hello david and thanks for your concerns. Things officially settled down despite some minimal disruptions. There is a good deal of peace and normality; restaurants, markets, malls, cinemas, are all running close to full capacity, yet my country is far less peaceful and cheap to live in as it used to be before 2011.

I thank God for having my town house with minimal damages after the war. I did not expect my dear oven to survive when the fence next to it was all made into ruins in 2018.

I am still in Syria but I moved to Damascus for work and I am thinking of replicating my oven into a portable version but with a barrel vault configuratuation as I found that more pracrical and spacious than the igloo one.
