The other day, my youngest and I drove 40 miles to take one of our pets to the vet. Thanks to good advice from a mate, we struck it lucky with a vet who works out of an old rundown house, and hasn't got a load of overheads to pass on to the customers. I was so impressed with the remarkably small bill for the work that I suggested on the way home that we could perhaps invest some of the savings in a couple of store bought pizzas for the evening meal. So we went to the local non-chain joints that is reputed to be very good. Sorry to say, they were just crap, really. Hate to see what not so good one is like. My son usually maintains there is no such thing as a bad pizza, but even he said these were horrible.
So, I've been hanging out for a real pizza.
It ain't gonna happen soon. Here is the shade temperature, measured in the shade in degrees centigrade on two separate type K thermocouples, in front of my oven.
Christmas lunch will be cold cuts and seafood, inside the house (we usually eat outside in the shade) under the airconditioner.
Yes, I know it;s a very 1st world problem I'm grizzling about. It is times like this I wonder how the less fortunate survive.
