So we've had bee-keeping, keeping ducks and/or sheep, brewing, mead making, gardening, mosics and even carving rocking horses - is anyone out there interested in weaving by any chance?
I got my daughter one of those dinky little children's looms for her birthday, and then found I just couldn't keep my hands off it... so now, a mere couple of weeks later I find myself the proud owner of one rigid heddle loom (a Kromski Harp in case you were wondering) and one hand woven scarf, with a second one already on the loom.
I think I caught a new bug.
On the upside, a scarf weighs a bit less than an oven and takes up less room, so I'll be able to make more than one of them... on the downside you can only do stripes, no twirly bits.
